Why are white Americans so concerned over blood degree among us indigenous? There are many 4×4 among us, although there are far more 2×4 or or 1×4 or less, but that is how it is. After our gene pool was decimated by the destruction of 90-95% of our population, there were much less of our own that weren’t related by blood to marry. The mixed bloods are still native, and our relatives.

Yeah i wonder too. My great-grandfather was full blood native american but he did when my mom was young. I don’t have any contact with any other native american relatives. It’s almost as if the race doesn’t exist anymore. My grandmother is also half native american but she doesn’t keep in contact with that part of the family. It’s pretty sad when you have so many half native Americans yet none keep in contact with their full blood relatives

    Hi there, I am.
    I don’t live on a reservation, I don’t run around half naked all day, I don’t ride a pony everywhere I go, I don’t shoot arrows at people, I don’t HAVE to hunt/gather to survive everyday, I don’t run around in buckskin, I don’t wear feathers…everyday, I don’t wear “war paint”, I don’t slap my mouth, and I don’t live in a goddamned tepee.
I do live in a nice house that I bought with my husband with our own money, I do have a respectable job, I did go to med school – on my own dime, I sometimes wear couture, I am good at archery and I do ride horses – recreationally.
Think you could recognize a real NDN that “looks” like that? Probably not.

OF COURSE, you just don’t recognize us.
    We’re everywhere.
I live on a reservation in NC and there are LOTS of full bloods. Though where I am now for school there is virtually none, and the few that I do meet are heavily mixed. So far I haven’t met anyone over 1/4th blood quantum.

Of course, there were many Native Americans who didn’t find the non-natives totally Irresistable.
The strange thing is it’s only non-natives who have a fixation with blood purity. A standard they don’t apply to themselves.

Yes, there are many unmixed Native Americans in Latin America, a person native to the Americas. I’m sure there also some in the U.S and Canada also…

i’m still waiting to meet a full blood caucasian though.
(its not cool to talk about people like they were dogs with pedigrees)
